Tips for Skiing Mont-Tremblant this Winter

October 24, 2018
New call-to-action

Did you know Mont-Tremblant has one of the best ski patrol teams in North America?  They are also one of the oldest operating ski patrol teams and second oldest resort in North America.  The mountain operates with safety in mind and has you along with your family or loved ones feeling secure with safety tips and the patrol all around the mountain to help if you need.  The equipment is also superb and will provide you with fresh groomed trails and access to beautiful runs for all skiing levels.

As you dream of winter snowflakes, swooshing sounds under your skis and deep powder, consider these 4 tips to make the most of your ski vacation.

Reserve lift tickets, lessons and rentals in advance
Even if you're coming for just a weekend, be sure to reserve lift tickets, lessons and rentals all in advance.  That's more time to ski and less time trying to decide what lesson to take or waiting in line to have your boots fit.

Arrive early.  Especially on a powder day.
I would arrive early to load the gondola and watch one of the most spectacular sunrises over the Laurentians. Look down at the beautiful lake and views of the European-style village. Typically the gondola line moves quickly, but it is a benefit to arrive early and get to the first lines of powder and fresh groomed trails.

Get lessons.
We know lessons can seem expensive and perhaps even time-consuming but if you are a new skier or have not skied in a while, do yourself a favor and sign up for a lesson. Everyone will have more fun and feel safer when they are enjoying the activities and getting the most up-to-date instruction.

Dress in layers.
The temperatures can be sunny and warm at the base area, but when you go up a few thousand feet, the conditions may be significantly different.  You can easily take layers off, but you can't add on layers on if you don't have them. Think ahead and pack the extra vest and that neck gator you debated to bring. It will save your ski day and keep you going on the slopes. There is nothing worse than being cold and having to miss out on powder runs.

Now start booking your winter vacation to Mont-Tremblant where fresh snow and a quaint village await.  Check out more at www.tremblant.me.
